54 Collective (54CO) is a venture capital firm scaling idea to early-stage ventures throughout Africa. 54CO a commercial-first investor that also embeds impact. Its catalytic capital provides founders with the tailored funding they need to scale while providing investors with returns.
54CO’s capital is combined with free side-by-side support through its Venture Success Platform, enabling entrepreneurs to build without boundaries as they solve Africa’s greatest challenges. Vital to its mission is fostering gender inclusion through the founders and ventures it supports, enabling them to be inclusive in their product and service design.
In 2021 Small Foundation and FFA began a multiyear partnership to support over 18 agtech startups from across sub-Saharan Africa. These ventures will innovate and improve the delivery of a range of services to smallholder farmers and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the agricultural sector.
Our collective ambition is that more agtech ventures scale to attract more capital from a broader range of investors, leading to improved efficiencies, opportunities and livelihoods in agricultural ecosystems across the continent.
