Announcing new partnership with WARC Africa
Small Foundation is pleased to announce our recent investment in WARC Africa (WARC) with a novel instrument, a convertible perpetual bond, to support scaling WARC’s operations in Ghana.
Founded in 2011 in Sierra Leone, WARC designs and sells regenerative farming inputs as a service, enabling farmers to access the best available machinery, agricultural practices, and technical advice.
WARC’s training farms train employees to operate in modern agricultural systems and serve as an innovation lab for optimal crop production. WARC’s trainees then deliver farmers the inputs as a service, taking farmers on a multi-year journey of sustained income increase and soil regeneration. WARC increase farmer incomes by increasing crop yields, the number of crop cycles per year and the amount of land farmed.
Through WARC, Small Foundation is excited to support a commercial agribusiness focusing on employee skills development with the ultimate goal of creating a pool of managers that can work on modern, commercial farms. Together, we see an opportunity to change the role of the farmer in Africa and scale agriculture commercially. To learn more about WARC, please visit their website.
