Alive & Learning: a new podcast from Circle Generation
We are excited to introduce Alive & Learning, a new six-part podcast series from our partners at Circle Generation. In collaboration with School of Systems Change and School of International Futures, the podcast explores intersections across cultivating impact networks, applying a systemic lens, and engaging with futures and foresight.
In conversation with network leaders and those engaged in systems to collectively shape a better future, the series blends an understanding of theory, practice examples from practitioners in the fields and reflections on emergent trends in these practices.
In Episode 1, “A Bigger Picture,” co-hosts Carri Munn and Elsa Henderson and narrator Nzwaki Adonisi explore how impact networks bring people together to share diverse perspectives and strategically coordinate actions to support collective change. They discuss why relationships are essential in our complex and dynamic world and share thoughts on what it takes to cultivate the capabilities of network leaders to facilitate collaborations to achieve shared visions of change.
Future episodes will feature Anna Birney and Sean Andrew of School of Systems Change discussing living systems; and conversations around futures and foresight with Cat Tully and Abi Nokes from School of International Futures.
The podcast also features vignette stories from practitioners around the world who are applying these practices to a wide range of issue areas, including our partners in the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners Climate Hub and African Food Fellowship.
Small Foundation supported this podcast. We look forward to hearing our partners and other ecosystem actors connect and discover how the practices of networks, systems and foresight intersect. We hope the tools, frameworks and approaches introduced will unlock new insights and collaborations towards shared goals, particularly in our work to support MSME ecosystems across sub-Saharan Africa.
