Small Foundation partners with African Leadership Academy’s agribusiness network
African Leadership Academy (ALA) is a privately funded secondary school based in Johannesburg that offers a two-year diploma programme to high potential young Africans from across the continent. ALA is the founding entity of the African Leadership Group (ALG), an association of educational institutions focused on fostering African leadership talent, ranging from secondary education to specialised post-graduate programmes. With a strong, 15-year track record of developing successful young leaders, ALG is committed to building an alumni network to promote and enable collaboration and the leveraging of social capital in Africa’s public, private and social sectors.
As part of a broader network strategy, ALA established the AL for Agribusiness Network (ALAN) in early 2020 to connect and accelerate its alumni working in agriculture and related sectors. ALAN intends to leverage the extensive network of the broader ALG family of organisations, comprising over 5,000 pan-African professionals, to create a multi-generational network of leaders working together to solve the challenges faced by African agribusinesses.
Small Foundation are delighted to announce that we will be supporting ALAN in this ambition through a multi-year grant. To learn more about ALA, please visit their website.
