At Small Foundation, we take a systems change approach to investing, aiming to shift capital flows in Africa. By deploying catalytic capital which is flexible, patient, and risk-tolerant, we support enterprises as well as the broader infrastructure in order to effect lasting economic transformation.
We are looking for two new people to join our investment team in Africa for the roles of Investment Director and Investment Executive. Team members are encouraged to focus on long-term, systemic impact rather than short-term outcomes. We use a range of tools with intent – including grants, debt, and equity – aiming efforts at broader change and adapting as contexts evolve.
Collaboration is core to our work. We partner with peers, co-investors, and local actors to co-create strategies, fill market gaps, and share lessons. We embrace complexity, act with humility, and support bold experimentation.
