Small Foundation and Village Capital seeking African entrepreneur support organisations to participate in new research
Small Foundation and Village Capital recently renewed our partnership with a new research initiative which seeks to deepen understanding of the rural-impacting entrepreneur support organisation (ESO) ecosystem in sub-Saharan Africa. This research will inform stakeholder interventions towards the shared goal of a thriving, commercially viable rural business ecosystem.
To support this initiative, we are seeking to partner with up to 20 locally-led ESOs to track their impact and provide insights on their support needs. ESO partners will receive training and access to Village Capital’s supporter package along with one-to-one support from the Village Capital team. Learn more about the programme.
To be eligible, ESOs must:
- Be legally registered with operations in sub-Saharan Africa; with preference for locally-led entities.
- Fall into one of these categories: accelerator or incubator, venture capital firm, association or network of entrepreneurs, makerspace or fablab, SME business advisory firm, or other SME / entrepreneur training organisation.
- Support or seek to work with rural-impacting enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa through services or programs.
Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, click here to submit your application by Tuesday, 26th July 11.59PM EAT.
This initiative also provides an opportunity for ESOs to establish a relationship with Small Foundation as we seek mission-aligned partnerships that have potential for systems change. See Small Foundation’s mission and strategy explained in further detail.
