Supporting The Good Summit: Awareness, Engagement and Action
Small Foundation is delighted to announce a new phase of partnership with The Good Summit, a global event-based platform that inspires people to take positive action in their communities and workplaces to build sustainable social change. The Good Summit brings together change-makers, students, academics and activists from a wide variety of disciplines and increases awareness of compelling global issues.
The inaugural Good Summit was held in Trinity College Dublin in 2018, with subsequent events in 2019 hosted in Ireland and Australia. The 2020 Good Summit was hosted online, drawing over 3,000 participants, and 2021 saw The Good Summit host a blended online and in-person event focused on global health, reflecting the societal challenges presented by the COVID pandemic.
At the heart of the events organised by The Good Summit are their core values:
- We believe everybody can be a change-maker
- We celebrate and cultivate positive change
- We believe we are better together.
The Good Summit’s focus on areas such as good health and well-being, education, climate action and social enterprise align with the Sustainable Development Goals, and underscores the value of creating intentional space for engagement, discussion and action on the defining social, environmental and economic challenges of our time.
More information on The Good Summit can be found on their website. You can catch up on previous Good Summit events through listening to their podcasts, or following The Good Summit on LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram.
This partnership is part of Small Foundation’s Irish initiatives portfolio. Our support will assist The Good Summit team to build on their success and plan for 2022.
