Data to increase capital for agri-SMEs in Africa

This report traces the evolution of a question “how can data increase the flow of capital to agri-SMEs?” from a broad hypothesis about connecting datasets to a systems view focused on generating data with market value.

The research examines fragmentation across agri-SME data in the sector and maps the underlying data infrastructure, including how information moves through the system and serves different objectives. It then sets out recommendations for moving agricultural data from aggregation, to integration, to financial value.
