60 Decibels (60dB) is a global, tech-enabled impact measurement company. It provides benchmarks of impact performance, enabling organisations to understand impact relative to peers. 60dB has a network of 1,200+ researchers in 80+ countries.
Small Foundation is supporting 60dB’s Farmer Thriving Index (FTI), a tool to survey and benchmark farmer wellbeing across geographies and crops. In 2024 60dB launched the Coffee Farmer Thriving Index, speaking to thousands of coffee farmers in Uganda and Rwanda to answer the question: are farmers in coffee supply chains thriving, or barely surviving? The index is a standardised and holistic measure of farmer wellbeing, covering the themes of living standards, food security, resilience and outlook on coffee farming.
