Adopting systems thinking with the Jobtech Alliance
Small Foundation is pleased to share two new blog posts from the Jobtech Alliance, a programme of Mercy Corps, which detail its adoption of systems thinking approaches in its efforts to build an inclusive jobtech ecosystem in Africa.
In the first part of the series, Jobtech Alliance documents the systems change principles adopted by the team. The principle of ‘get everyone in and do the work together’ resonates strongly across Small Foundation’s work, including our support for initiatives such as the Catalytic Capital Consortium and the Agri-SME Learning Collective, which represent efforts to share learnings and coordinate actions across a diverse range of partners and broad ecosystems.
In the second part, Jobtech Alliance reflects on how its engagement with the ecosystem has shifted over the past three years to meet the evolving requirements of the jobtech ecosystem. Responding to how the landscape has changed – including through research, initiatives and the success of the Jobtech Alliance to date – the team recognise the value in remaining flexible to face new challenges. In addition to sharing lessons learned, this post channels a systemic approach to set out new principles for adaptive engagement with the ecosystem.
