Moremi is Africa’s first integrated female fund manager platform, dedicated to catalysing the growth of female-led and gender-diverse funds across the continent. An initiative of Kuramo Capital Management, Moremi offers a comprehensive support ecosystem designed to nurture the next generation of African fund managers.
At the heart of Moremi’s Gender Lens Investing (GLI) initiative is an integrated suite of support pillars:
- Accelerate: a fund manager accelerator building GP capacity
- Bridge: a warehousing facility enabling GPs to build investment track records
- Catalyse: a Fund of Funds investing directly as an LP into promising funds
- Develop: shared services and operational support to help GPs institutionalise
Moremi is underpinned by a common network that facilitates peer learning, capital mobilisation, and long-term ecosystem development.
Small Foundation is providing catalytic support to Moremi to expand its Bridge pillar through the Moremi Technical Assistance Facility, which will offer working capital loans to emerging fund managers.
