Established with a focus on rural and underserved markets, Khuwaylid is building a locally domiciled, evergreen structure that blends Islamic finance principles with innovative approaches to SME financing.
Khuwaylid represents a new generation of African fund managers designing context-driven solutions to the “missing middle” in SME finance. By backing early-stage enterprises with catalytic capital, the fund seeks to foster job creation, financial inclusion, and systems transformation in markets that have historically been overlooked.
Small Foundation is providing catalytic support to Khuwaylid through our GP Working Capital Facility, enabling the team to establish operations, reach first close, and begin deploying capital to SMEs in underserved markets.
