Bridging the Gap – Insights into the Support Ecosystem for Rural Impacting Enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa (July 2024) presents findings from two years of research into 359 entrepreneur support organisations (ESOs) working with rural-impacting enterprises across the region. The study provides an in-depth analysis of the support landscape, highlighting the critical services ESOs provide as well as gaps and opportunities for strengthening the ecosystem.
The research also introduced an ESO diagnostic tool, designed to help ESOs assess their capabilities, identify milestones, and build financially sustainable organisations that deliver impact for entrepreneurs.
