Invitation to join ‘The Good Summit’ – a platform for social change – on 21-23 October 2020

The Good Summit is a global platform that inspires people to take positive actions in their communities and workplaces to build sustainable social change. This year The Good Summit is taking place at Trinity College Dublin and online from 21-23 October 2020. You can sign up to join the conversation for free here

The theme for The Good Summit 2020 is ‘Let there be hope’. At this challenging time globally, The Good Summit wants to connect participants to dream about a positive future and build trust, responsibility and neighbourliness – in hope. Summit speakers will include: Mary McAleese, former President of Ireland; Malcolm Turnbull, former Prime Minister of Australia; Alan Rusbridger, former editor of The Guardian and Principal of Lady Margaret Hall; Marc Brackett, Director of the Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence; and many others.

Co-founder of The Good Summit Jools Hamilton says:

“When Amr Dawood and myself began to dream of a world more fair and more peaceful, we quickly recognised that if we could get people together for ‘good’ it could have a lasting impact. The support of Small Foundation is invaluable for The Good Summit, as it proves we are not alone in knowing the world can be a better place – there are many people hiding round corners willing to help make it so. Together we can be part of conversations and actions that end extreme poverty, build education, and create opportunities for communities around the world to be transformed.”

Small Foundation is providing financial support to The Good Summit at a time when the platform is hosting its first virtual summit and hoping to connect more people globally. This partnership forms part of Small Foundation’s wider support for Irish initiatives that contribute to the relief of poverty, suffering and distress in Ireland. Small Foundation believes that The Good Summit’s work is beneficial to a wider community in Ireland and beyond. We hope you can join The Good Summit’s global event later this month.

P.S. if you missed any of the sessions you can catch up on the inspiring conversations here
