We are pleased to share that Small Foundation has begun a new collaboration with Impact Frontiers to advance more effective and meaningful impact reporting across the investment ecosystem in Africa and beyond, including reporting on progress towards systems change.
Impact Frontiers works across regions and investment contexts to improve investment decision-making. Building on its incubation by the Impact Management Project (IMP) and development of the Reporting Norms, Impact Frontiers is helping to generate consensus around impact investment strategy and reporting.
In this partnership, Impact Frontiers will work with us and others to:
- Make reporting simpler and more useful for impact funds operating across Africa
- Support investors in reporting their progress toward long-term systems change goals, engaging a working group of practitioners to align around reporting on systems change. This workstream is collaborating in particular with the Innovative Finance Initiative and practitioners.

Small Foundation will also join the Reporting Norms Stewardship Council as part of this partnership. We look forward to engaging with Impact Frontiers and a range of collaborating institutions to make impact reporting clearer, more credible, and better aligned with the realities facing investors and their stakeholders.
