Small Foundation announces new partnership with Regen Organics

Small Foundation is pleased to announce a new partnership with Regen Organics, which is part of the Sanergy Collaborative, to explore the potential of an agtech platform for regenerative agricultural inputs. Regen Organics specialises in collecting, treating and converting waste streams into regenerative agricultural products, such as its Evergrow organic fertiliser, and ensuring market uptake by small scale farmers.

Regen Organics is currently working with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as part of its Green Ventures Africa (GVA) program which aims to maximize value and impact of high potential climate smart companies. The Green Ventures Programme is supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and hosted by Strathmore University.

In parallel, Small Foundation has joined this collaboration by partnering with Regen Organics on a research project carried out with BCG which will consider the business case and opportunities presented by an agtech platform focused on regenerative agricultural inputs. Small Foundation is excited to consider the insights and learnings from the GVA program as this project seeks to leverage Regen Organics’ Evergrow brand and the perceived growing demand for regenerative agricultural products and practices in Kenya and beyond.

David Auerbach, Co-Founder of Regen Organics and The Sanergy Collaborative said, “We are delighted to work with Small Foundation on this initiative. We see enormous potential for smallholder farmers as they seek to improve their yields and incomes through regenerative agriculture; the challenge is unlocking that potential.”

Small Foundation looks forward to sharing insights and learnings coming from this project with our network and wider ecosystem when available.
